Ingredients for Mango Lassi

  • Ripe Mangoes: 2 large, peeled and chopped (or 1½ cups of mango pulp)
  • Plain Yogurt: 1 cup (preferably full-fat for a creamier texture)
  • Milk: ½ cup (optional, for a thinner consistency)
  • Sugar or Honey: 1-2 tablespoons (adjust based on the mango’s sweetness)
  • Cardamom Powder: ½ teaspoon (optional, for added flavour)
  • Ice Cubes: 4-5 (optional, for a chilled drink)
  • Chopped Pistachios: For garnish (optional)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mangoes: Peel and chop the mangoes into small pieces. If using canned mango pulp, measure about 1½ cups.
  2. Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, combine the mango pieces (or pulp), yogurt, milk (if using), sugar or honey, and cardamom powder. Blend until smooth.
  3. Adjust Consistency: If the lassi is too thick, add a little more milk and blend again.
  4. Chill and Serve: Pour the mango lassi into glasses. Add ice cubes if desired and garnish with chopped pistachios.
  5. Enjoy Immediately: Serve your mango lassi fresh and chilled.
