Ingredients for Hazelnut Cake

Steps to Make Hazelnut Cake
1. Prepare the Cake Batter:

- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together ground hazelnuts, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
- Gradually fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool completely before frosting.
2. Prepare the Frosting (Optional):
- Beat the softened butter in a large bowl until creamy.
- Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in heavy cream and hazelnut extract, whipping until light and fluffy.
3. Assemble the Cake:
- Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a generous amount of frosting on top.
- Add the second cake layer and frost the top and sides of the cake.
- Decorate with chopped hazelnuts for a delicious and crunchy garnish.
